The Muskegon Community College baseball team split a doubleheader with Glen Oaks Community College LSJ Logo incertTuesday, winning the opener 9-7 and dropping the nightcap 6-3.

MCC got the advantage in the opener with a seven-run third inning. Pitcher Kyle Vedrode picked up his second win on the mound, scattering eight hits, while Joe Kostrzewa got the save.

Reed Beffrey, Dylan Brown, Adrian Anderson and Jake Wagenmaker each had two hits for MCC. Wagenmaker and Anderson also had two RBIs.

In the second game, the Jayhawks gave up five runs in the second inning on two errors.

Jordan Wahr took the loss on the mound. Wagenmaker and Aaron Gilbert each had a hit for the Jayhawks, who are 17-8 overall and 8-2 in league play.
