The Muskegon Community College baseball team swept Grand Rapids Community College in a conference doubleheader Thursday, 7-0 and 5-3.

Pitcher Kyle Lawson scattered six hits and struck out eight in a complete-game shutout for MCC in Game 1.

Mitchell Reyes had two hits and Adrian Anderson added a hit and an RBI for the Jayhawks.

In the nightcap, MCC pitcher Damon Proctor went the distance and struck out 13 Knight batters.  Anderson had two hits and an RBI while Robert Spencer had a single and a RBI sacrifice fly for the Jayhawks.

The Jayhawks improved to 20-12 overall and 11-5 in the MCCAA. They are tied for fourth place in the conference with Delta Community College.
