The Muskegon Community College softball team stands in second place after lsj-fb-logoFriday’s second round of the Michigan Community College Athletic Association Western Conference Tournament at Bedford Valley Golf Club.

The Jayhawks have shot team scores of 294 and 305 thus far and trail first-place Grand Rapids Community College by 17 strokes.

Joel Maire paced MCC with a first-round 72 on Thursday and a second-round 70 on Friday. He’s currently in second place overall in the tournament.

GRCC’s Zach Bialik leads the tournament by one stroke with a two-round total of 141 (72, 69).

MCC’s Dylan Krim (150) is currently in fifth place overall while Tyler Krim (151) is tied for sixth and Noah Carter (159) is tied for 14th.

The tournament will continue April 26-27.
