But Thursday was a different story, as the Sailors were blanked 8-0 by Northview.
In Wednesday’s victory, No. 1 singles player Sophie Gossett won in straight sets for the Sailors, 6-0, 6-3, while No. 3 Bella Purosky won 6-4, 6-4 and No. 4 Kayle Cunningham scored a 6-1, 6-2 victory.
Mona Shores split with the Rockets in doubles action. The Sailors’ No. 3 team of Summer Gossett and Julie Beechnau won in three sets, while the No. 4 team of Leyanna Jordan-Brown and Courtney Dunn was victorious in straight sets.
