The Muskegon Community College softball squad hit a rough patch over the weekend, dropping three of four games.

On Sunday the Jayhawks lost both ends of a twin bill to Lansing Community College, 6-2 and 7-1. On Saturday they split with Kalamazoo Valley Community College, with a 3-1 loss and a 7-4 victory.

The bright spot for MCC came against KVCC in Game 2, when the Jayhawks scored three runs in the sixth inning to walk away with the win.

Megan Jean posted three hits in the game, including a solo home run, while Megan VanderWeele had two hits and four RBIs.

Amy Gillings, Meghan Birr and Morgan Giddings had two hits apiece for MCC. Pitcher Alexis Carpenter posted the win on the hill.
