The season started on a tough note for the Reeths-Puffer softball team, which dropped a 14-11 decision to Northview Tuesday in non-league action.
The Rockets led 5-3 after one inning, then lost by giving up eight runs in the final two innings. Reeths-Puffer was hurt by five errors.
Joanna Skuse led the Rockets with three hits and four RBI.
