The Mona Shores softball team split its doubleheader with Holland West Ottawa on Wednesday. The Sailors won 8-1 in Game 1 but fell 11-8 in the nightcap.

Pitcher Desi Parker picked up the win in the opener for Mona Shores (3-1) with four strikeouts.  Mackenzie Quinn had a pair of hits and Taylor Drew added an RBI double for the Sailors.

In Game 2, Mona Shores battled back from an early deficit but fell short. Nicole Witham and Mackenzie Willeke each had two hits for the Sailors.
