Muskegon Catholic defeated Montague 5-3 Thursday in a matchup of two of the area’s better varsity LSJ Logo incertbaseball teams.

John Sanocki got the win on the mound for the Crusaders, pitching a complete game while scattering six hits. He struck out six with no walks.

Nick Holt was the hero at the plate for MCC, going 3-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs and three runs scored. Anthony Woodard and Zach Huston each added a pair of hits for the Crusaders.

Dylan Stever had two hits and an RBI for Montague. Cameron Brayman had a hit and scored a run for the Wildcats while Jacob Buchberger had an RBI single.

Muskegon Catholic improved to 11-0-1 on the season. Montague dropped to 6-2.
