Western Michigan Christian dropped a pair of softball games at the Tri-County Invitational on Saturday in Howard City.
The Warriors fell 9-5 to Forest Hills Northern and 12-9 to Tri-County.
Leah Sweetman led WMC against Forest Hills Northern with four hits and an RBI, Catherine Bradford had three hits and Hannah Nestell had two hits and two RBIs. Hannah Pell also posted two hits for the Warriors.
Haylee Moser pitched all seven innings for WMC and struck out nine.
Against Tri-County, WMC scored seven fifth-inning runs to take a 9-8 lead, but couldn’t stop the Vikings from answering with four runs in the sixth.
Bradford led the Warriors at the plate with two hits and three RBIs. Moser had two hits and two RBIs while Pell had a hit and two RBIs.
