The Whitehall and Oakridge baseball teams took turns showing off their pitching arms in a West Michigan LSJ Logo incertConference doubleheader split on Tuesday.

Whitehall beat Oakridge 2-0 in the first game. Jake Gillhespy threw a one-hitter for the Vikings, allowing only an infield hit while striking out 12. Wyatt Hilton took the loss for the Eagles, despite allowing only six hits and striking out six.

Whitehall’s Jared Brock went 2-for-3 with an RBI double.

Oakridge got even with a 4-1 victory in the second game. Jordan Fairchild threw a no-hitter for the Eagles, striking out five and walking two. Whitehall’s lone run came on a walk, a stolen base and an error.

Hilton and Hunter Benson each had two hits for Oakridge while Jaegar Beattie added a key RBI double.
