Muskegon Community College golfer Joel Maire finished just two strokes shy of first place at the Michigan LSJ Logo incertCommunity College Athletic Association Championship at Port Huron Elks Golf Club on Monday.

Maire shot rounds of 71 and 70, finishing behind Henry Ford’s Jake Kieronski (69, 70).

The Jayhawks (303, 304 – 607) finished fourth in the team competition behind-first place Grand Rapids Community College (301, 286 – 587).

MCC’s Jeff Stevens shot a 74 and 76 and tied for 14th place. Dylan Krim shot a 79 and 77 while Tyler Krim shot a 79 and 83.
