Tigers 3, Athletics 2 – The Tigers won their second straight game on Wednesday afternoon in Oakland.
Detroit’s Yoenis Cespedes led the Tigers past his former club by hitting a three-run home run in the fifth inning.
Six Detroit relief pitchers shared the duties on the mound and got the job done. Alex Wilson got the start and pitched three innings. Kyle Ryan collected the win, pitching three innings and giving up one run on three hits.
Detroit will open a four-game series against the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday night.
