Detroit sports glance: Tigers beat Astros in extra innings with McCann’s walk-off homer

Tigers 6, Astros 5 (11 innings) – The Tigers defeated Houston in extra innings to win their second straight game.

lsj-fb-logoJames McCann led off the 11th inning with the game-winning  walk-off home run for Detroit.

Nick Castellanos hit a deep home run over the visiting bullpen to open the scoring in the fourth inning.

David Price pitched a no decision, giving up two earned runs on five hits, while striking out 12 batters.

Detroit will look to keep the winning streak going tomorrow night against the Houston Astros.
