The Oakridge girls soccer team used a strong second half to defeat Lakeview 3-0 on Tuesday in Division 3 district tournament action.
The game was scoreless at halftime, then Lanessa Meyers, Helena Kaim and Nicole Karel each scored second half goals for the Eagles.
Oakridge advances to play Grant in Thursday’s semifinals at Belding High School.
Division 3 at Big Rapids
Fremont 8, Mason County Central 0 – Katie Parkhurst and Holly Kortge each scored twice for Fremont. Brianna Norris, Kara Kortge, Alena Christensen and Makayla Monger also tallied goals for the Packers, who kept the Spartans from getting a shot on goal. Fremont will take on Shelby at 5 p.m. Thursday at Big Rapids High School.
