Audrey Boersen was the hero of the day for Grand Haven in both wins. Boersen had two hits and three RBIs in the opener, which included a two-run single to cap off a six-run third inning.

In the extra inning Game 2, Boersen hit a two-run single to tie the score at 4-4 in the sixth inning and then came through with an RBI single in the eighth to win the game.

“Audrey really came through with some big hits today,” said Grand Haven coach Paul Masko. “The girls definitely have fight in them. I have heard so many positive things from others about how our girls play the game. We are not unstoppable but we are very difficult to beat.”

Grand Haven Pitcher Yogi Hang posted the win in the opener, going all seven innings. Mikayla Gronback had three hits and Morgan Hill added two.

In Game 2, relief pitcher Kaylee Hartwell entered in the eighth inning and pitched the Bucs out of a bases loaded jam with a strikeout.
