The Holton girls softball team has completed its bid for a perfect regular season.

The Red Devils wrapped up their schedule Thursday with a pair of wins over Kent City, 7-0 and 6-4.LSJ Logo incert

The victories gave the Red Devils a 32-0 overall regular season record and a 20-0 mark in Central State Activities Association play.

Rachel Younts pitched the victory for Holton in Game 1, striking out eight Eagle batters. Emily Larabee and Jacki Stone each had three hits while Younts added two.

In Game 2, starting pitcher Katie Wildfong earned the win by giving up only one hit. Younts pitched the final inning for the save, striking out the side.

Larabee and Ashleigh Friend each had three hits in the nightcap.

Holton, ranked third in the state in Division 4, will begin postseason play next Saturday in a district tournament on its home field.
