Is the Holton softball team going to lose a game this season?

LSJ Logo incertIt certainly didn’t happen Tuesday night. The Red Devils took a pair of games from rival Hesperia, 9-4 and 7-2, to improve their record to 24-0 overall and 14-0 in Central States Activities Association action.

Holton pitcher Rachel Younts got the victory in both games.

Ashleigh Friend was the hitting star in Game 1, going 3-for-3 for Holton. Danielle Wolfsen had two hits for Hesperia, including a triple.

In Game 2, the Red Devils used a six-run fourth inning to take control. Friend, Jacki Stone, Rachel Younts and Shelbey Younts had key hits during the big inning.

Jorie Morton hit two doubles for Hesperia.
