The Montague baseball team is closing in on a 20-win season following Tuesday’s 4-3 and 10-2 sweep of Shelby in West Michigan Conference action.
Jacob Buchberger pitched a complete game in the opener, striking out seven Shelby batters. Abram Erickson had two hits and scored two runs for Montague.
In Game 2, Erickson and Buchberger each had two hits and scored three runs for the Wildcats, who improved to 19-7 overall and 10-2 in league play.
