Muskegon Community College golfer Joel Maire finished runner-up at the Michigan Community College Athletic Association State Golf Tournament, which wrapped up Tuesday in Port Huron.

LSJ Logo incertMaire shot rounds of 71, 70 and 74 for a 215 total, one stroke shy of champion Jake Kieronski of Henry Ford Community College.

The Jayhawks (303, 304, 304 – 911) finished behind champion Grand Rapids Community College, which shot a three day total of 880.

Jeff Stevens finished strong for MCC, taking 15th place overall with rounds of 74, 76 and 78 for a 228. Dylan Krim finished tied for 20th and Tyler Krim tied for 26th.
