Prep soccer roundup: Mona Shores downs Rockford 1-0; OV takes out Fremont, Ludington beats Whitehall

The Mona Shores girls soccer team beat Rockford 1-0 on Friday in a non-league game.

Sarah Mikesell scored the lone goal for the Sailors.

Lauren Cannon got the shutout in goal while Lizzy Groenhout and Carly McNiff stood out defensively.

Orchard View 7, Fremont 2 – Rachel Tabler scored twice in the first three minutes, propelling the Cardinals to a league victory over Fremont on Wednesday. Other scorers for Orchard View were Elina Huttu, Jourden Sharps, Brianna Wade, Racheal Darwin and Chelcie Macomber.

NON-LEAGUE

Ludington 4, Whitehall 1 – Jacquelyn Lynch scored a pair of goals for the Orioles while Bethany Shay and Ali Plamondon had one apiece. Shay and Lynch also had two assists while goalie Amanda Payne had seven saves. Hanna Evans scored Whitehall’s goal, with an assist from Lauren Baustert. Ludington is now 10-2 while Whitehall is 2-6-1.
