Thursday prep soccer: WMC pounds North Muskegon; Grand Haven falls to Rockford

Western Michigan Christian ransacked North Muskegon 8-0 in non-league girls soccer on Thursday.

Lauren Myers tallied four goals in the WMC win. Breanna Garceau found the net twice for the Warriors, Alexys Riksen had a goal and two assists and Jessica Kinnucan recorded a goal and an assist.

Also getting assists for WMC were Miki Erickson with two and Kayley Pearce and Makayla Nadeau with one each.

Lindsey Johnson got the win in goal for the Warriors (8-3-1).

O-K RED

Rockford 3, Grand Haven 0 – The Bucs played to a 0-0 first-half tie before Rockford scored three second-half goals. Grace Bubin scored the first and winning goal for Rockford eight minutes into the second half. Grand Haven was outshot 7-6. Buc goalkeeer Alyson Donselar made four saves.
