White Sox 8, Tigers 7 (10 innings) – The Tigers dropped their second straight game, losing in extra innings against the Chicago White Sox on Thursday afternoon.
J.D. Martinez hit his team leading 18th home run of the season for Detroit.
Joba Chamberlain allowed three runs on two hits in the 10th inning for his second loss of the season for the Tigers.
Detroit starting pitcher Alfredo Simon took a no decision, allowing five runs on six hits in six and one-third innings.
Detroit will look to even the series against the White Sox on Friday night.

Pistons select a pair of Wildcats in 2015 NBA Draft – The Detroit Pistons selected small forward Stanley Johnson out of Arizona with the eighth pick in Thursday’s 2015 NBA Draft. Johnson led the Wildcats in scoring with 13.8 points per game.
The Pistons took Villanova shooting guard Darrun Hilliard with the 38th pick. Hilliard led the Wildcats in scoring with 14.3 points per game.
