Tigers 5, White Sox 4 – J.D. Martinez’ solo home run in the eighth inning propelled the Tigers over the Chicago White Sox on Friday night.

Bruce Rondon picked up his first victory of the season for the Tigers, pitching a clean eighth inning and striking out one batter.

Detroit starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez pitched a no decision, allowing four runs on six hits in seven innings.

Detroit will look to take the series lead against the White Sox on Saturday afternoon.
