Ludington soccer player Jacquelyn Lynch and Western Michigan Christian’s Alexys Riksen were recently named first-team All-State by the Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association.

Lynch scored over 130 goals in her high school career and was honored on the top Division 3 team.lsj-fb-logo

Riksen, who will be playing next season at Cornerstone University, led her WMC squad to the Division 4 regional semifinals.

A number of other local players were named to MHSCCA’s All-State teams as well.

In Division 2, Spring Lake’s Alex Prout was named second-team All-State and Saebryn Peel was named third team All-State. Fruitport’s Marissa Hassevoordt and Reeths-Puffer’s MacKenzie Goltz were both named honorable mention.

Ludington’s Amanda Payne, Madisyn Brockelbank and Bethany Shay were each named honorable mention in Division 3. Oakridge placed three players on the honorable mention squad as well in Hannah Jones, Meghan Larabee and goalie Mckayla Wall. Madisen Giese (Newaygo), and Hanna Evans (Whitehall) were also named on the team.

In Division 4, WMC had three players named second team All-State. McKaela Erickson, Jessica Kinnucan and goalie Lindsey Johnson each were honored for the Warriors. Muskegon Catholic’s Molly Conroy was also named second team.

The Crusader’s Haleigh McKenna was named third team All-State and WMC’s Lauren Myers made honorable mention.
