Three Tigers selected to All-Star game, one in final vote

The Detroit Tigers will at least have three players in the All-Star game, with the potential of having a fourth.

Starting pitcher David Price, shortstop Jose Iglesias and right fielder J.D Martinez will represent the Tigers at the All-Star Game in Cincinnati on Tuesday July 14th.

Left fielder Yoenis Cespedes is on the ballot for the last roster spot, which is awarded by a vote of fans.

Miguel Cabrera was elected to start at first base for the American League, but will not play due to his injury.

Pistons sign point guard to five-year contract

The Detroit Pistons have re-signed point guard Reggie Jackson to a five-year deal worth $80 million.

Jackson averaged 17.6 points, 9.2 assists, and 4.7 rebounds per game for Detroit in 27 games last season.
