Twins 7, Tigers 1 – The Tigers lost their third game in a row to the Minnesota Twins on Sunday afternoon.

LSJ Logo incertVictor Martinez hit a double for Detroit while Marc Krauss knocked in the lone Tigers run.

Detroit starting pitcher Shane Green pitched the loss in his comeback to the Major Leagues, allowing seven runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings.

The Tigers head into the break nine games behind first-place in the Eye on the Ddivision and three and a half behind for the final playoff spot.

Detroit will start the second half of the season against the Baltimore Orioles, starting on Friday night.

Record: 44-44

3rd Place in AL Central (9 games behind Kansas City)

3.5 game behind Houston for last playoff spot.
