Tigers 2, Royals 1 – Matt Boyd picked up his first career victory on Wednesday night, in his Tiger debut against the Kansas City Royals.

Anthony Gose hit an RBI triple for Detroit, while Victor Martinez knocked in a run on a groundout.

The Tigers will look to win the three-game series over the Eye on the Dfirst place Royals with a victory on Thursday afternoon.

The Detroit Lions give LB DeAndre Levy four-year extension

The Detroit Lions have agreed to terms with linebacker DeAndre Levy on Wednesday evening. Levy has combined for 270 tackles in the last two seasons for the Lions. He had a career high 151 tackles last season in his sixth season with Detroit.
