Reds 12, Tigers 5 – The Tigers blew a 5-0 lead, giving up 12 unanswered runs in Monday night’s loss to the Cincinnati Reds in a makeup game.
J.D. Martinez and Nick Castellanos each homered for Detroit, while Miguel Cabrera hit an RBI double.
Detroit starting pitcher Buck Farmer took a no decision, allowing three runs on three hits in 5 1/3 innings.
Al Alburquerque tossed his first loss of the season, giving up three runs on two hits without recording an out.
The Tigers will head back home for a three-game series with the Los Angeles Angels starting on Tuesday night.
