Tigers 4, Astros 2 (11 innings) – Justin Verlander continues to have bad luck closing out victories, yet the Tigers managed to defeat the Houston Astros on Saturday night in extra innings.

Detroit starting pitcher Justin Verlander deserved a better fate, but ended up with a no decision after pitching seven scoreless inningsEye on the D allowing three hits while striking out seven batters.

Al Alburquerque picked up the victory for the Tigers, pitching a scoreless 10th inning, while Neftali Feliz picked up the save, allowing one run on two hits in the 11th inning.

The Tigers will look to take the three-game series over the Astros with a victory on Sunday afternoon.
