Tigers 10, Cubs 8 – The Tigers defeated the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night after waiting out a two hour and 17 minute rain delay.
Ian Kinsler led the charge for a Detroit going 5-for-5 with double, home run and two RBIs.
Detroit starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez started but left the game due the long delay. He allowed two runs on three hits in 2 1/3 innings.
Al Alburquerque picked up his third victory of the season, after recording the final out in the seventh inning.
The Tigers will look to sweep the Cubs with a victory on Wednesday night.

4.5 games behind Los Angeles Angels for last playoff spot.
