Tigers 7, Royals 4 – The Tigers snapped their three-game losing streak in comeback fashion, defeating the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday night.
Detroit overcame a 4-2 deficit scoring four runs in the eighth inning. The Royals came into the game with a 123-1 record when leading in the eighth inning, since the start of the 2014 season.
Victor Martinez and Ian Kinsler each doubled and knocked in two runs for the Tigers.
Neftali Feliz tossed his first win as a Tiger, while Bruce Rondon picked up his second save of the season.
Detroit starting pitcher Daniel Norris took a no decision, allowing four runs on six hits in 6 1/3 innings.
The Tigers will start a three-game weekend series against the Houston Astros starting on Friday night.
