Red Sox 7, Tigers 2 – The Boston Red Sox broke open a one-run game with four runs in the eighth inning to defeat the Tigers on Sunday afternoon.

Detroit starting pitcher Justin Verlander pitched the loss, allowing two unearned runs on four hits in six innings.

The Tigers will open an eight-game road trip, starting on Eye on the DMonday night against the Kansas City Royals.
