The Mona Shores and Spring Lake soccer teams played to a 1-1 tie Wednesday in a non-league matchup.

The Lakers took the lead on a first half goal by Keegan George.
Mona Shores forced the tie in the second half with a goal on a penalty kick from Kevin Quigg, following an infraction on a corner kick.
Spring Lake outshot the Sailors 8-2. Mona Shores goalkeeper Tyler Lemense made several saves from close range after halftime to preserve the tie.
Both teams are now 2-0-1 on the season.
