The Mona Shores boys soccer team captured a big win in its opening game on Saturday, downing Grand Haven 2-1 in a non-LSJ Logo incertleague matchup.

Tanner Parrott and Collin Vaughn scored goals for Mona Shores, while Parrott also had an assist on Vaughn’s goal.

The Sailors won despite being outshot 9-5. Mona Shores goalkeeper Tyler Lamense contributed to the victory with eight big saves.
