Orchard View earned its first win of the season on Friday night by defeating Fremont 19-7.
Jaden Day rushed for a pair of scores to lead OV and Devin Pascavage added a rushing touchdown for the Cardinals.
Reyes opened the scoring with a 2-yard run in the opening quarter for OV.
Day added his scoring runs in the second and third quarters.
Fremont’s score came on a pass from Caleb Koomen to Wei Ping Chen.
Matias Keyes and Dev’ron Williams had interceptions for OV and Jake Crittendon recovered a fumble.
“It’s more of a relief than anything. It was great to see our kids step up and play well. We played well on defense,” said OV coach Joe Tanis. “When we don’t get penalties, we move the ball.”
