Detroit sports glance: Lobstein makes return to the mound, Tigers lose to Indians

Indians 8, Tigers 1 – The Cleveland Indians’ starting pitcher Josh Tomlin pitched a complete game, as the Tigers dropped their third straight game on Friday night.

Miguel Cabrera knocked in the Tigers only run, while Dixon Machado hit his first double of the season.

Detroit starting pitcher Kyle Lobstein made his first start since going to the disabled list in May. He took the loss, allowing six runs on eight hits in 4 1/3 innings.

The Tigers will look to even up the series with a victory over the Indians on Saturday night.

Record: 61-73
