Tigers 5, Rays 4 – Rajai Davis’ two home runs led the Tigers over the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday afternoon.
Davis’ second home run in the seventh inning broke a 4-4 tie to give Detroit a one-run lead.
Detroit starting pitcher Randy Wolf took a no decision despite his struggles. He allowed four runs on eight hits in 4 1/3 innings.
Al Alburquerque picked up the victory after pitching a clean seventh inning for the Tigers. Bruce Rondon recorded the final two outs to earn the save.
The Tigers will look to get their first series win since mid-August with a victory over the Rays on Tuesday night.
