Tigers 7, Twins 4 (12 innings) – The Tigers scored three runs in the 12th inning on an RBI single by Ian Kinsler and two-run home run by J.D. Martinez, to beat the Minnesota Twins late Wednesday night.
Detroit was forced to play extra innings after blowing a one-run lead in the ninth inning .
J.D. Martinez, Tyler Collins and Jefry Marte each knocked in two runs for the Tigers.
Detroit starting pitcher Daniel Norris picked up a no decision in limited action, allowing one run on one hit in 3 2/3 innings.
Tigers’ relief pitcher Ian Krol earned the victory, throwing three hitless innings while striking out two.
The Tigers will head home for their final home stand starting Friday night against the AL Central Division leading Kansas City Royals.
