The third quarter cost the Grand Haven football team on Thursday night in its 39-19 loss to Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central.
The Buccaneers scored 13 unanswered points after falling behind 13-0 to head into the half tied 13-13.
Grand Haven could not mount a comeback after giving up 20 third quarter points.
“We had a lot of penalties along with mistakes in the third quarter,” said Grand Haven Coach Jason Duram. “We just didn’t make the plays when we needed to.”
