Grant’s volleyball team finally had the opportunity to give its home fans something to cheer about and the Tigers didn’t disappoint in a sweep of Chippewa Hills (25-10, 25-15, 25-7).
The Tigers improve to 13-2-2 overall and 1-0 in the Central State Activities Association’s Gold Division.
“They have been working hard, putting in a lot of time, and had the opportunity to show their skills tonight,” said Grant coach Tricia Schuitema. “I thought we served great and hit the ball well tonight.”
Grant totaled 12 aces, led by eight from Laura Bouwkamp. She also tallied nine kills.
Setter Sierra Schuitema led in both assists (23) and kills (10), while Kylie Patton had a team-high three blocks.
