Hesperia improved to 4-0 on the season and 2-0 in conference play.

Workman opened the scoring for the Panthers with a 9-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.

Morley Stanwood tied the score 7-7 in the first quarter, then Hesperia went up 14-7 with a 12-yard run by Davian Gowens in the second quarter.

The Panthers punched in two touchdowns in the fourth quarter – on a four-yard pass from Brendan Mcaree to Gowens and a five-yard run by Workman – to make the score 28-7.

Morley-Stanwood got two late touchdowns, one after a successful onside kick, to pull within 28-21. The Mohawks tried another onside kick with 34 seconds remaining, but Hesperia recovered and preserved the victory.

Garrett Yates has seven tackles for Hesperia while Kanin Witte added one interception and one fumble recovery.
