The Montague football team continued its offensive dominance, defeating Shelby 55-23 on Friday night in a West Michigan Conference game.
The Wildcats, who are now 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in league play, had nearly 600 yards of total offense compared to Shelby’s 324 yards.
Running back Cameron Brayman led the Wildcats with 312 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while quarterback Jacob Buchberger rushed for 118 yards and four touchdowns and threw for 114 yard and one score.
Juan Cavazos led Shelby with 130 yards while quarterback Gavin Porter rushed for 114 and a touchdown.
Cavazos and Porter also led defensively with 10 and nine tackles, respectively.
Shelby is now 0-3 on its season.
Final score was 55-23. Caviedes missed his last XP attempt.
Still was a nice win for Montague, their first on that field since 2009.
