The Grand Haven’s varsity volleyball squad served up some home cooking on Tuesday, sweeping a trio of opponents during a quad at Grand Haven High School.

Grand Haven, the eighth-ranked team in Division 1, swept Portage Central (25-15, 25-18), East Grand Rapids (25-22, 25-9) and Zeeland West (25-20, 25-22). The Bucs improve to 14-2 overall this season.LSJ Logo incert

Morgan Ross and Emily Lachmann were the Bucs’ big hitters during the day with 23 and 22 kills, respectively. Lachmann added three aces and 21 digs to her impressive stat line.

Sophia Newhouse led Grand Haven with 49 digs, while setter Katie Cole tallied 82 assists. Olivia Boeve led the Bucs with three blocks.
