Holton improves to 3-4 overall this season and 2-3 in the CSAA’s Silver Division.

Holton coach Jack Nuemedor was pleased with his balanced attack on the ground, which featured three runners with 74 yards or more. Mitchell Erickson led the way with 103 yards and a touchdown, while Brandon Epplett tallied 97 yards on 11 carries and a touchdown.

Nuemedor singled out Brendan Cregg, who totaled 74 yards on 13 carries.

“He ran tough tonight,” Nuemedor said. “He’s not the biggest kid, but he’s tough to bring down.”

Nuemedor was also pleased with the play of quarterback Blake Fialek, who completed 5-of-7 passes for 209 yards and two touchdowns.

“Blake got into a rhythm tonight and it showed,” Nuemedor said. “He’s making better decisions and making better throws.”

Jacob Bowden and Nick Swenson had receiving touchdowns for the Red Devils.

Defensively, Erickson led the way with 11 tackles, while Epplett had nine. Defensive end Mason Bouchart had two sacks.
