Lions 37, Bears 34 (OT) – Matt Prater’s 27-yard field goal with 2:29 left in overtime led the Lions to their first victory of the season on Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

LSJ Logo incertThe Lions took a 34-31 lead with 21 seconds left in regulation on a six-yard touchdown reception by Calvin Johnson from Matthew Stafford.

Stafford threw for 405 yards, four touchdowns and one interception, while Johnson caught six passes for 166 yards and one touchdown.

The Bears quickly marched 69 yards down the field on three plays to set up a 29-yard field goal to tie the game 34-34 at the end of regulation.Eye on the D

Detroit and Chicago each had two drives in overtime ending with a punt.

The Lions won the game on their third drive on Prater’s 29 yard field goal, Johnson and Stafford connected on a 57 yard pass to set up the game-winning field goal.

Detroit is 1-5 on its season and will host the Minnesota Vikings next Sunday.

Lance Moore made five catches for 106 yards and a touchdown, while Stephen Tulloch led the Lions’ defense with 13 tackles.
