White Sox 2, Tigers 1 – The Chicago White Sox defeated the Tigers on Friday night in the final series opener of the 2015 season.
Jefry Marte produced Detroit’s lone run with a solo home run in the second inning, while Anthony Gose and Josh Wilson each doubled in the game.
Detroit starting pitcher Alfredo Simon took a tough loss in his final start of the season, allowing two runs on five hits in eight innings.
The Tigers will look to even the series against the White Sox with a win on Saturday night.
