The Grand Haven soccer team ended a very good season on a quiet note Tuesday when they dropped a 2-0 decision to Portage Northern in a first round regional game at East Kentwood.
Ryan Melgar posted both goals for Portage Northern, one in each half.
Grand Haven, which won its fifth straight Division 1 district title last week, finished the season 13-6-2.
Portage Northern advances to play Forest Hills Northern in Thursday’s regional final.
