The Spring Lake football team closed its season with a thrilling 17-14 win over Shelby (0-9) on Friday night.
Cameron Bell’s 38-yard field goal with three seconds remaining secured the Lakers’ win.
Spring Lake jumped out to a 14-0 first half lead on the strength of Isaiah Pierce and Josef Hissom touchdown runs.
The Tigers got on the board in the third quarter after a 15-yard run by Zach Stuberg. Juan Cavozos then tied the game with a 1-yard score with 26 seconds left.
