Muskegon Catholic Central picked up a 48-12 win over Ravenna Friday night. The win gave the Crusaders six on the year and helped qualify them for the playoffs, while Ravenna finished the season 3-6.
Logan Helton opened the scoring for MCC with a 69 yard rush. Christian Martinez had a 57 yard touchdown run to go with two scores through the air. Both touchdown passes were hauled in by Walker Christofferson.
LaTommy Scott chipped in two rushing touchdowns for the Crusaders, while Andrew Schulte had a 14 yard score.
The Bulldogs got on the board in the fourth thanks to two rushing scores from Camron Passenier.
Wow 3-6 how embarrassing, I give the boys a lot of credit. They played hard all year and fought to the end of every game. We have been OUT coached every game for about the last 4 or 5years. Our defence is still living in the 90's and has no pass defence or safety support what so ever. You don't have to scout Ravenna we have done the same thing for years with no change's in our game play and never make any half time agreements. Again this is not about the boys they played their hearts out each and every game. It's pretty bad when you have people such as mom's dad's, grandma's and grandpa's in the stand's screaming for the coach to put a safety back. And speaking of the stand's we have went from needing to be at the field two hours early to not having 50-75 people at the game. We need a change in leadership, the Head coach and defence of couch need to be replaced and bring in a proven winning coach with new ideas and someone who is able to make agreements though out the game and at least at half time. Let's bring back high school football to Ravenna go dogs .
Should be adjustments not agreements (dang spell check )
