MCC is now 5-1 overall and 5-0 in league play. The victory also clinched a playoff spot for the defending state champion Crusaders.

Scott had a big play sort of night, scoring touchdowns on runs of 48, 50, 58 and 19 yards. He only had six carries, which left him with an average of 34.2 yards per carry.

The Crusaders’ other touchdowns came on two passes from quarterback Christian Martinez to Walker Christoffersen (33 and 44 yards) and a 46-yard romp by Logan Helton.

Helton finished with 146 yards on three carries while Christoffersen had 72 yards rushing on seven carries and 107 yards receiving on three catches.

Miles Novotny led the Crusader defense with nine tackles.

Weiping Chen and Josh Taylor had rushing touchdowns for Fremont, which dropped to 0-7. Quarterback Caleb Koomen was 12-for-26 through the air for 145 yards and added 104 yards rushing on 12 carries.

Nathan Hoffman had nine catches for 115 yards for the Packers.
